Winter Blues

I’m back…again!

Yes, I’ll admit time got away from me quite a lot these past couple months and now that the semester has come to a close, the holidays are almost behind us (sadly), and I’m now getting ready to pack up again and head down unda to Australia for 4 months! With that, I have finally found some time to show you guys what I’ve been up to lately.

This look is a combination of everything I have found over the last month I thought was perfect for this awkward winter weather. It was actually 50 degrees in the middle of December for the midwest the other day (still not sure how to feel). Featuring the turtleneck, this is a hot item for this season (ok no pun intended there). But seriously, I have been loving oversize sweaters and turtlenecks lately. Not only are they super comfy but you can wear them any way you want either dressed up or down. I snagged this Tahari one at TJ Maxx!

Another one of my favorite trends ever since I first discovered them months ago are these lace-up pointed-toe leather flats. Believe it or not I got these on black Friday from Old Navy. They are super comfortable and I love rocking them with distressed jeans. My oversize tote was a birthday gift for my 21st (thanks mom and dad) and I love the blush pink color. It goes with virtually anything and can be pulled off in the winter because of its monochromatic undertones. My personal touch was the pom pom key chain all the stars are adding to their bags as a must-have accessory.

Since the weather is so back and forth the last thing I’ve finished off this look with is a light blue longer style peacoat. Its masculine structure offsets the feminine colors and lightens up the look. It is warm enough but light enough to layer. Light blue was just released as one of Pantone’s 2016 colors of the year and I couldn’t be more excited for the pastel hues.

~I hope you enjoy~
